Reception Functions

Reception services include monitoring access of employees, contractors and visitors to facilities, issuing badges, maintaining logs, inspecting bags and packages and giving directions. Other services include summoning officers for escort, vehicle and related fleet responsibilities, package delivery coordination, switchboard operator relief/after hours, conference room scheduling, monitoring CCTV and authorizing property passes. Lobby reception coverage features security officers who are assigned to lobby areas and control access to the building, provide information to building users and visitors, and perform other duties as specified by the client. Benefits to you from both these functions include:  first line of control for employee/visitor access to ensure government compliance; continuity for business needs; restricted area badging control; customer service; exit searches  and controlled documents, as well as giving both customers and employees the perception of being in a safe, secure work environment.

Badge and ID Functions

PGS personnel take photographs for and produce employee, contractor and visitor badges, as well as material movement and control badges. They maintain accountability logs and records, and create and distribute termination lists. Additionally, they provide reports to managers and contractors on badge losses, track the dollar value for replacement of badges, and order badge materials to remain current with site employee expansion. You benefit from having a security partner manage your badge programs, as it assists in reducing security vulnerabilities and complying with government rules.

Mailroom Services

PGS provides personnel who will pick up mail from the post office, sort and distribute incoming mail, and prepare mail for pickup or take to local post office. Our personnel have been specially trained in package inspection techniques can examine incoming mail for sabotage or explosives, especially in high-risk facilities. You benefit from these services as you do not need to assign full-time employees to these duties and have the additional advantage of using personnel who have been trained in package inspection.

Employee Processing and Orientation

PGS administrative personnel can assist with forwarding information pertaining to new employee applications to the investigative entity concerned. These include clearance paperwork, criminal record investigators and drug testing companies. By outsourcing the paperwork, your employees can devote more time to core competencies. PGS security officers and/or account managers can participate in new employee orientation programs. They speak to security and safety topics like the role of security at the location; how to contact security if assistance is needed; why procedures such as property passes are in use; and demonstrate handling of safety equipment. Additionally, it can be stressed that in the event of an emergency, security officers are generally the first to respond and client employees can rely on them for assistance. Having security officers speak to new employees on security-related issues underscores the importance of safety and security at the clients’ workplace and helps new employees feel they will be taken care of in the event of an emergency.

Document Control

PGS can provide personnel who are experienced in government regulated document control programs. Our personnel understand automated document routing and approval to improve quality by routing critical documents through the appropriate review and approval process. We are familiar with most document control software and inventory systems that boost productivity by enabling users to always have the right document and management to have the right tracking systems.

Classified/Internal Materials Destruction

This service includes picking up materials, regulating access, transportation to a destruction site and disposal. All of the chain of accountability paperwork is accordingly completed. Clients are assured that their classified, sensitive or proprietary information is in compliance with government requirements and/or internal policies for the protection of intellectual property.

Clearance/Visitor Management

PGS personnel interview client employees for information in completing clearance applications, transmit requests for access to client sites, record visit requests and forward requests for review by client information security staff.
