The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that effective immediately
Kevin M. Sandkuhler, Brigadier General, USMC (Retired), has been named President
and Chief Executive Officer of Pinkerton Government Services Inc.. He will be
based in Springfield , VA and will report to the board of directors of Pinkerton
Government Services.
In addition to his extensive leadership experience in diverse areas that he
acquired during his 31-year career in the U.S. Marine Corps, he brings highly
developed communication and organizational skills to the company.
Kevin served most recently as Staff Judge Advocate to the Commandant of the
Marine Corps from 2001 to 2006, headquartered in Washington D. C. As the senior
uniformed attorney in the Marine Corps, he was responsible for the management of
over 800 active and reserve judge advocates and 350 support personnel. Prior to
that, he served as Chief Defense Counsel for the Marine Corps from 2000 to 2001.
In addition to other previous appointments, from 1994-1997 he was assigned to
the Joint Staff as Non Proliferation Planner in the Directorate for Strategic
Plans and Policies where he assisted in the creation of arms control policy for
the U.S. with an emphasis on nuclear non-proliferation issues.
His accomplishments are many, including:
International negotiations - where he provided advice to the U.S. Delegation in
negotiations to strengthen international nuclear safeguards;
Strategic policy formulation - where he served as a key member of the legal team
that formulated legal policies for the Defense Department on issues relating to
the Global War on Terrorism; and
Government procurement -- as Director of Contracting, he managed a Contracting
office that purchased and contracted for supplies and services with a value in
excess of $50 million dollars.
Kevin received a B.A. degree from the College of the Holy Cross, Worcester , MA
in 1975, a J.D. from California Western School of Law in San Diego in 1981, and
a Masters of Law in Government Contract Law from George Washington University,
Washington DC , in 1991. He is also a 1994 graduate of the U.S. Army War
College.
His military honors include: Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior
Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Achievement
Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
